# Can I edit the buoy details after it's been deployed?

## This article describes how you can edit the buoy and equipment properites

The buoy's name, gear type and geofence radius can be changed at any point by going to the detailed view of the buoy on the equipment page by tapping a buoy in the list and scroll down to the properties form. Press the save button after you've finished. You need an internet connection for the changes to be saved.
